Novum is a fast-growing software-based commercial insurance Managing General Agency (MGA) and Wholesaler looking for an Inside Sales Territory Manager, to join our growing Agency Manager team. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain lasting relationships with our agent partners over the phone, identify new business opportunities, and increase overall production in your territory.
Responsibilities Include:
• Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow the business in your territory
• Reach out to partner agencies and establish relationships to build a pipeline of new business opportunities
• Engage in active listening to understand the needs of partner agencies and provide feedback to management
• Effectively demonstrate and communicate the benefits of our products and services
• Minimal but occasional travel to insurance events and agency visits
• Manage the sales process from lead generation to close, including following up
• Collaborate with other members of the sales and marketing team to develop new sales strategies and identify new business opportunities
• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
• Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and agency interactions in our proprietary CRM system
Recommended Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the insurance industry
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals and/or sales targets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, must enjoy talking to people
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Experience working with software such as CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, etc.
